"Worship" is more than music that evokes an emotion. It is the way we give glory to God
in every aspect of our lives. At First Baptist, we are passionate about about
our worship. But we are even more passionate about the One whom we worship, Jesus
Christ! We realize it is not about us, and our ultimate goal is that Christ
be the focus when we worship through singing or playing an instrument during what we
call "corporate worship".
Whether you enjoy hymns, praise choruses, or a blend, we have a service that you'll feel
comfortable worshipping in. Our 8:15am service is a more traditional service. We sing from the
hymnals, we don't use the projections screens, and the piano and organ are the only accompaniment.
Our 10:30 service is a little more energetic with a praise band, projections screens, videos, and a blend of praise choruses and hymns
We recently introduced our new contemporary service which includes the more contemporary songs you hear on Christian radio. This
service is currently only offered quarterly.
No matter the talent you've been
given, you will find a place you can serve in First Baptist's music ministry.
There are also places of worship as choir leaders and choir assistants. We are
a "high expectation" music ministry and each of realizes that there is a level of
commitment required when answering the call to lead others in worship through the use
of music. Come praise the Lord with us!
- Voices of Praise: - Our adult choir meets each Wednesday night at 7:30, following our Wednesday worship service.
- Praise Band: This group leads in worship each week and accompanies the Voices of Praise during concerts. Contact the church office for information on joining our praise band.
- Joy Choir: - Our senior adult choir meets on Wednesday mornings at 10:00am. They sing in our evening worship services and sing in nursing homes throughout the area.

- Bells of Praise: - Our hand bell choir meets each Sunday at 4:15pm and is always looking for more "ringers".
- 1st-5th Grade Choir: - This choir meets each Sunday at 4:15pm and usually presents 3 musicals a year.A choir director is currently needed for this position. Please contact the music office if interested.
- 3yr old - Kindergarten Choir: - This starter choir meets on Sundays at 4:30pm.
