As women, we are called to serve many roles. At First Baptist Church of Blanchard, we believe the most important role that we have is being a child of God. The Women’s Ministry is dedicated to helping you explore and build that relationship. We offer Bible studies and seminars throughout the year as well as other ministries such as our Hospitality Room, Prayer Chain, and The Grace Home.

"THE CORD THAT BINDS" One-on-One Discipleship for Women What is The Cord that Binds? It is a discipleship program that pairs two women for the purpose of growing stronger In their Christian walk through life. The center strand of the "cord of three strands" that connects them is Jesus Christ. "Senior Partners" provide a biblical perspective of life with their sound, working knowledge of the Scripture and a solid track record of godly conduct. Experience, stability and perseverance are their credentials accompanied by wisdom from a journey farther traveled. "Junior Partner" is a woman who welcomes the insight and knowledge of a more mature woman. She desires to develop certain skills and/or strengths for her personal, spiritual journey. She is looking for a woman who has dealt with the struggles she now faces. What are the Guidelines? Make a 6 month commitment to the relationship Contact each other once a week and meet once a month. Pray for each other regularly. Why Should I Participate? We need it and Scripture commands it. Because women understand women, have gone through similar experiences, and feel the same emotions, we can provide a special source of strength and possibly fill a need in the life of another woman. Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Eccl. 4:12
